What a bomb of fiber! Secret ingredient: psyllium husks.

Porridge

If you've never heard of psyllium husks, let me help you out: The small seeds are from the psyllium plantain. They are particularly popular because of their husk, which has very good swelling properties and thus gives dishes a wonderful, pudding-like and somewhat slimy consistency. At the same time, you stay feeling satiated for a long time, blood sugar levels are regulated and digestion is promoted, which can be helpful with stool problems of any kind.

"A day without porridge is a day wasted"

Due to the swelling properties just mentioned, this porridge is intended to have a pudding-like consistency. If this is too solid, you can add some more water. The more water, the more liquid, the less water, the more solid.

Instead of water, you can also reach for all kinds of non-dairy milk alternatives.

The recipe below is for one person.

  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds or flax seeds

  • 1-2 tsp psyllium husks

  • extra water for the psyllium husks40g Haferflocken
